Fish are Ecco's food source and will restore his health bar when eaten. They swim both in large and small schools and come in a variety of colours including orange and red. One of the largest varieties are the Great Fish. Some fish are poisonous and will steadily decrease Ecco's health bar after he eats them. Others perform specific functions such as glowing in the dark to light the way through dark caves. There are even vicious carnivorous fish that will attack Ecco. The largest species are sharks.
