Barrier Crabs are a rare Crab in Ecco Junior that includes a small and large variety. They block passages, but can be moved by Sonar. If sung at enough they break away and disappear, but return as soon as the singer swims too far. They resemble and use the same sprite base as Spider Crabs and Arctic Spiders.

The large variety only appears in the Seahorse Reef and its sister level Melodic Waters. They appeared in a pair.
